Professional Training
Designed for students targeting an immediate airline-focused career, the CIATPL provides a structured, full-time route to a “frozen” ATPL. Students in the program can attempt the Transport Canada ATPL written exams during training, with results remaining valid (“frozen”) for five years, giving graduates time to build the required flight experience before applying for the full ATPL.
The integrated curriculum develops the proficiency required for Commercial Pilot training, multi-engine and Group 1 instrument training, and progression toward airline operations standards.
Unlike modular training, the integrated format is continuous and allows early introduction of airline-style competencies such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Crew Resource Management (CRM), Multi-Crew Co-operation (MCC), Scenario Based Training (SBT), and Line-Oriented Flight Training (LOFT)—supported by onsite ground, simulator, and aircraft training at Peterborough.

Communication In Aviation English
Communication in Aviation English is designed to build students’ everyday and business-level oral and written English through six core communication elements: vocabulary expansion, pronunciation, grammar development, oral fluency, reading comprehension, and social interaction. Throughout the course, students strengthen spoken communication and overall confidence by working through aviation-connected examples, situations, and scenarios that reflect real operational and workplace environments. While the emphasis is on practical oral communication, the course integrates aviation-specific material to better prepare students for entry into Toronto Airways programs and for the communication demands of a future career in aviation.
